There is common ground between Piero Manzoni and children: a playful and ironic spirit through which the artist always succeeded in lending form to his ideas.
That spirit underpins a project that aims to provide an opportunity for direct contact between the artist’s creations and the receptive imagination of children within a playful setting wholly appropriate to Piero’s work: our KidLab “C’era una volta Piero” (“Once Upon a Time there was Piero”).
Starting out with his life story, the children will be encouraged to experiment with his works as they transform into young artists embarking on an adventure in search of their own uniqueness.
Piero Manzoni enters the classroom through this free workshop coordinated by members of our Educational Department who will provide the children with all the materials necessary to undertake an exploration of his works and talent lasting around 90 minutes.
