THE STORY OF THE FOUNDATION
1997-1998 PIERO MANZONI IN MILAN AND LONDON
Palazzo Reale hosted the exhibition Piero Manzoni. Milano et mitologia, while the following year another solo show was held at the Serpentine Gallery in London.
The exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery was curated by Germano Celant and marked the reopening of the space to the public following two years of restoration, in part financed with National Lottery funds. The exhibition featured more than 150 works.
Work began on the new general catalogue edited by Germano Celant.
With the launch of the new catalogue, the Fondazione began to digitalize its archive materials, both works and documents, with the creation of an ad hoc database.
