THE STORY OF THE FOUNDATION

1991 SOLO TRAVELLING SHOW IN PARIS, HERNING, MADRID AND RIVOLI

A new solo show curated by Germano Celant was held in Paris before moving to Herning (Denmark), Madrid and Rivoli.

The original show was held at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, then at Heart – Herning Museum of Contemporary Art, the Sala de Exposiciones de la Fundación “la Caixa” in Madrid and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Castello di Rivoli. In its March 1991 issue, the magazine Art Presse published an essay by Dominique Laporte entitled “Piero Manzoni. L’ouvrier du septième jour”, in which he keenly and meticulously analysed Piero’s work, restoring to it an almost theological dimension.
