1992 BIRTH OF THE FOUNDATION

In 1992, Piero Manzoni’s four siblings (Maria Melania, Elena, Giacomo and Giuseppe) founded the Archivio Opera Piero Manzoni, a non-profit association.

The aim of the archive was to valorize the artist through:

• historical research, gathering information and material regarding Piero Manzoni, his life and his works;
• archiving and continuing to define the corpus of authentic works; 
• collaboration with institutions to organize exhibitions, or with scholars to produce publications and research projects;
• consultancy regarding appropriate conservation of the works.
