THE STORY OF THE FOUNDATION

2014 PUBLISHING ACTIVITIES, CONFERENCE AND A NEW AUCTION RECORD

Some months later Palazzo Reale was again the setting for a study day about Piero Manzoni in collaboration with Milan University and the Catholic University, during which fourteen Italian and international scholars spoke to illustrate and explore the latest research into the artist and his work.

A number of books about the artist were published: Piero Manzoni and ZERO. A European Creative Region by Francesca Pola, published by Electa in the ‘Pesci Rossi’ series, Breve storia della “Merda d’artista” by Flaminio Gualdoni and Caro Piero by Elena Manzoni di Chiosca, both published by Skira. Lastly, Abscondita published Su Piero Manzoni by Germano Celant.

During its Italian Sale on 17 October, Sotheby’s of London sold another large creased canvas for the record price of almost 16 million Euros.
