THE STORY OF THE FOUNDATION

1972-1973 PIERO MANZONI IN THE UNITED STATES

Manzoni’s first solo show in the United States was staged in New York, Houston, Seattle and Chicago.

For the occasion a book was published, a small monograph in English edited by Germano Celant. The exhibition was organized by the Sonnabend Gallery, which was also the setting for its first venue, and was then hosted in various public institutions: the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, the Henry Gallery in Seattle and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
